  • New Year's Resolutions:
  • Bring the "c" word - "community" back to website development (down play that other one "commercial")...
  • Write my book online (but that's another story)...
  • Keep control of my own desktop (even while others continue to lose their's to Pointcast, Mirimba, Microsoft and other "pushers".)...
  • Start developing in 3D with a crude but cool little application called 3D Website Builder (it is being bundled with Adobe PageMill so the installed user baser will grow quickly)...
  • Don't laugh too hard at all the WebTV folks, someday they will get it...
  • Learn Lotus Notes so I can use their new "Domino Powered by Notes Server" with integrated applications to build participatory and evolutionary sites on-the-fly and interactively with user input (now that's a mouth full)...

  • Tribulation:
  • Experimenting with a multi-level online story. May raise some wrath from certain circles...

  • Reinvigorated newsSatirists!
  • After the Mining Company thing - oh, yeah, you don't know about that. Well from late February until early March I took newsSatirists and used it to apply as a Guide on the Mining Company site. They liked it. It went into their prep program. Then they said it didn't conform to their format. Again, true to form I expected that "they" wanted innovation... So I put it up at fauxhall.com and am shopping around for another home for it or sponsors which ever comes first. I really liked the Mining Company model: small monthly advance against a share of the advertising revenue. But not their resistance to evolve.

  • Laurin website goes public!
  • After over six months of content, design and interactivity debates the Laurin Publishing website is now online.

  • Decided not to devote any more time to newsSatirists at this time. Will focus on fauxhall.com as a personal creative workshop instead.

  • Fauxhall revamped as "media band" I have reworked fauxhall.com site into a place where I can create works in "text, images and sound" on a virtual stage. One of my new ideas is to put the newest work in-progress up as the home page. I will work on it online as if I was in a public studio. When I'm through evolving it I'll make it accessible from the "compositions" page.
